Progressing cavity pumps are used in the construction industry to convey media gently and with low pulsation. These media can be plaster or screed, for example – or mortar, liquid concrete and other media with a high solids content. At KTR, we have played a key role in the technical development of construction pumps and work together with renowned compound suppliers and universities. Our construction pumps are available in different types, which are either maintenance-free, slotted or equipped with integrated clamping bars. We can supply the pumps with or without anti-twist protection. Our manufacturing processes for construction pumps are subject to a continuous optimisation process – for minimum tolerances and consistently assured quality. We verify our high standards through systematic checks using state-of-the-art test bench technology. We work closely with users and machine manufacturers to realise highly specific solutions tailored to individual requirements by adapting the rubber compounds to the customer's application. The focus is always on maximising economic efficiency. This can be seen particularly in the stators of our KTR progressing cavity pumps which have been widely accepted on the market for decades.
When selecting materials, we are focussed on your requirements; our processing technologies make many things possible. Therefore, we can also take special requests into account. For stators in particular, we only use high-quality compounds from German manufacturers to achieve the exceptionally high functionality and long service life of our pumps. Our long-standing and close supplier relationships mean that we can also realise special requests from our customers in the form of special blends. For rotors, our range of materials ranges from highly durable through-hardened tool steels to more cost-effective surface-hardened carbon steels and customised solutions made of various types of stainless steel. In extreme applications, we can make the surfaces even more resistant through treatments such as hard chrome plating or salt bath nitro-carburising.
We have decades of expertise in the field of pump production. KTR has been ISO 9001 certified since 2021. This demonstrates our commitment to quality in all areas of production. Our customers can rely on the consistent quality of our construction pumps. Before adding them to our product portfolio, we test the relevant parameters such as pressure and flow rate. Our development team is on hand to help you with new developments or if you need advice.
